Sophie Richard has featured in numerous magazines, including Vogue Japan, and has also featured on Japanese Television. For the Japanese Agency of Cultural Affairs she has recently participated in Invitation to Japanese Beauty.

Invitation to Japanese Beauty

Initiated by the Prime Minister’s Office of Japan and Bunkacho, the Agency for Cultural Affairs, this series of films celebrates Japanese arts and culture. The first two episodes feature the Kyoto National Museum and the Tokyo National Museum.

Sophie was interviewed in July 2023 by Sustainable Japan, a magazine by the Japan Times.

Television

Sophie was the principal presenter and guest on NHK’s long-running show ‘Sunday Museums’ in May 2018. In 2018 and 2019 with the Japanese TV channel BS Eleven, she collaborated on the creation of two series of documentaries about Japanese museums based on her work and named after her book. She presented special episodes each year.
